Platforms Project ΝΕΤ 2020 – ΠΑΡΑΛΛΗΛΟ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑ
Η διεθνής έκθεση Platforms Project για όγδοη συνεχόμενη χρονιά, έχει ως αντικείμενο την από κοινού αναζήτηση λύσεων σε σύγχρονα εικαστικά ερωτήματα και την ενδεικτική χαρτογράφηση της εικαστικής δράσης, όπως αυτή παράγεται σήμερα στα πλαίσια ομαδικών πρωτοβουλιών νέων καλλιτεχνών στο διεθνές περιβάλλον της τέχνης.
Φέτος όπως ήταν αναμενόμενο δεν θα βρεθούμε όλοι από κοντά, αλλά η δημιουργικότητα και η τέχνη δεν σταματά και θα συναντηθούμε ιντερνετικά. Το Platforms Project δημιουργεί μια νέα άποψη στη θέαση της τέχνης, μέσω του διαδικτυακού art fair, του Platforms Project Net.
Μένουμε σπίτι, αλλά επιμένουμε να δημιουργούμε, ενώνοντας τις φωνές της ανεξάρτητης εικαστικής σκηνής, αναδεικνύοντας τη δύναμη της τέχνης και της τεχνολογίας.
Το Platforms Project Net θα δώσει την ευκαιρία στο ευρύ φιλότεχνο κοινό, να έρθει σε επαφή με τα έργα και τους καλλιτέχνες των ομάδων, μέσα από μια ψηφιακή έκθεση.
Ο θεατής θα μπορεί να ζήσει μια νέα εμπειρία μπαίνοντας στη σελίδα του Platforms Project για 15 μέρες, από τις 14 Μαΐου έως 31 Μαΐου 2020.
Μέσω μιας ψηφιακής κάτοψης του εκθεσιακού χώρου “Νίκος Κεσσανλής” της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών, με τις πλατφόρμες τοποθετημένες στα ψηφιακά τους περίπτερα, ο θεατής θα μπορεί πατώντας κλικ πάνω στο αριθμό και το όνομα της πλατφόρμας ,να δει έργα που θα εκθέτει κάθε καλλιτέχνης της ομάδας ( video-art, ζωγραφική, φωτογραφία, installations κτλ).

Στη διεύθυνση του πρότζεκτ είναι η Άρτεμις Ποταμιάνου και ο Μιχάλης Αργυρού. Την καλλιτεχνική επιμέλεια του Platforms Project 2020 έχει η Άρτεμις Ποταμιάνου.
Στο παράλληλο πρόγραμμα OPEN STUDIOS του Platforms Project NET 2020, μετέχουν Εργαστήρια της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών Αθηνών παρουσιάζοντας δράσεις και έργα φοιτητών.
Το εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα KIDS LAB σχεδιασμένο για παιδιά ηλικίας 4 έως 16 χρονών από την ολλανδική πλατφόρμα EX-MÊKH και την εικαστικό και καθηγήτρια καλλιτεχνικών Ellen Rodenberg. Το πρόγραμμα έχει στόχο να εισάγει τα παιδιά στη σύγχρονη τέχνη. Οι καλλιτεχνικές ομάδες-πλατφόρμες παρουσιάζουν τις εικαστικές τους προτάσεις σε ένα χώρο-περίπτερο που μοιάζει με ένα μεγάλο κύβο. Τα παιδιά θα προσκληθούν κατά τη διάρκεια του Platforms Project NET να συμμετάσχουν, δημιουργώντας έναν δικό τους μίνι χώρο (μίνι περίπτερο-κύβο) με χαρτί, μολύβια, χρώματα. Στον μικρό τους χώρο μπορούν να αντλήσουν έμπνευση από την έκθεση.
Ταυτόχρονα στο Platforms Project NET 2020 θα έχει τη δυνατότητα να παρακολουθήσει online στα ελληνικά και αγγλικά, ένα πλούσιο και πολύπλευρο πρόγραμμα από 20 online ομιλίες πάνω σε θέματα που αφορούν την σύγχρονη τέχνη και 22 online περφόρμανς και βίντεο από τις συμμετέχουσες ομάδες.

Τι συμβαίνει αυτήν τη στιγμή; Ποιοι είναι οι παίκτες; Τι κάνουμε »στην Αθήνα«; Ποιο είναι το μέλλον; – Ο στόχος του ARTIST RUN PANELS είναι να ξεκινήσει ένα νομαδικό φόρουμ συζήτησης σε συνεργασία με ανεξάρτητες δράσεις καλλιτεχνών σε όλο τον κόσμο. Αυτή η επικοινωνιακή πλατφόρμα είναι μια ιδέα της Jasmin Glaab από το kunsthallekleinbasel.com και το πρώτο πάνελ πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Μπιέλ / Ελβετία τον Μάρτιο του 2020. Αυτή η ομιλία θα παρουσιάσει το ARTIST RUN PANELS σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα καλλιτεχνών στο πλαίσιο του Platforms Project Art Fair. Κατά τη διάρκεια του 2020 σχεδιάζονται περισσότερα πάνελ σε συνεργασία με διάφορες πρωτοβουλίες καλλιτεχνών, σε καλλιτεχνικές εκθέσεις και άλλες ευκαιρίες.

Platforms Project 2020 – Parallel Program
Now in its eighth consecutive year, Platforms Project is the international show that indicatively charts the art currently produced through collective initiatives by young artists on the international scene as they join forces to seek answers to contemporary artistic questions.
This year we will not get together; but creativity and art does not stop, so we shall meet on the internet. Platforms Project establishes a new approach to art viewing via Platforms Project Net, a web-based art fair.
We stay at home but we continue to create and bring together the voices of the independent art scene, demonstrating the power of art and technology.
The Platforms Project Net will enable the art-loving public to access the artists’ groups and their works via a digital exhibition. Viewers can try a new experience by visiting the Platforms Project website for 15 days, from 14 to 31 May 2020.
A virtual plan view of the ‘Nikos Kessanlis” exhibition space of the Athens School of Fine Arts shows the platforms installed in their digital stands. Viewers can click on a platform’s number and title and see the works presented by each artist in the group (video-art, painting, photography, installations, etc).

The project is managed by Artemis Potamianou and Michalis Argyrou. The Artistic Director of Platforms Project 2020 is Artemis Potamianou.
In the parallel program of Platforms Project NET 2020, OPEN STUDIOS, Studios of the Athens School of Fine Arts participate, presenting student’s actions and projects.
The educational program KIDS LAB is designed for children between 4 to 16 years old from the Dutch platform EX-MÊKH and the artist and art teacher Ellen Rodenberg.
The program which is drawing inspiration from the spatial design of the Platforms Project exhibition, aims to introduce children to contemporary art. The art collectives-platforms present their ideas in a space-booth which looks like a large cube.
During the Platforms Project the children will be invited to participate in creating a mini space (mini booth-cube) with paper, pencils. In their small space they can draw inspiration from the exhibition.
The viewer will be able to watch online a rich and varied programme of 21 online lectures on contemporary art matters, in Greek and English, as well as 22 online performances and videos of the participating groups. Visitors to the new Platforms Project NET may engage in direct, real-time dialogue with the artists over the internet as part of the overall interactive experience.

What is the future? – The aim of ARTIST RUN PANELS is to kick off a nomadic discussion forum in cooperation with independent artist run initiatives all over the world. This communicative platform is an idea of Jasmin Glaab from kunsthallekleinbasel.com, and the first panel was held in Biel/Switzerland in March 2020. This talk will introduce ARTIST RUN PANELS to a wide range of artists in the context of Platforms Project Art Fair. In the course of 2020 more panels are planned in cooperations with various artist run initiatives, on art fairs and other opportunities.
